Meet Your Coaches:
Megan Flanagan (she/her)
Megan grew up in the Midwest, where wide-open fields, small-town sports, and endless curiosity shaped her early love for movement. A lifelong athlete, she ran track and cross-country through high school and went on to compete at the Division I collegiate level. After graduation, Megan discovered trail and ultra running — a space where grit, curiosity, and community all came together — and she’s been exploring big miles and bigger mountains ever since.
Megan is a UESCA Ultrarunning Coach, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, and 200-hour trained yoga teacher. With corporate leadership experience alongside additional training in mental performance, Positive Intelligence, and strengths-based leadership, she brings a holistic, mind–body approach to helping athletes thrive.
As an endurance athlete, Megan is a four-time 100-mile ultramarathon finisher, consistent top 5–10 placer in trail ultras, Spartan Elite podium athlete, Boston Marathon finisher, and lifelong multi-sport mover — from trail running and rock climbing to skiing and cycling. Having started and built a women’s running community, Strong Runner Chicks, Megan loves supporting others through transition, building community, and helping women claim bigger visions for their athletic and personal lives.
Laurel Walker (she/her)
Laurel grew up on a small family farm in upstate New York. She fell in love with the mountains at a young age and has been cross country skiing, ice skating and climbing trees since she could walk. During grad school, Laurel discovered the amazing mountains of Alaska and Colorado and has lived in the western U.S. ever since.
Laurel is a UESCA Certified Ultrarunning Coach, writer, AMGA rock guide, and athlete specializing in mountain sports. With a 10+ year background in competitive ultra running, she now uses that endurance and drive to not only pursue running but also a variety of climbing styles, as well as backcountry skiing. Laurel enjoys moving efficiently through the mountains whether that be on skis; rock, ice, or mixed climbing; running, or combo of them all. When she isn’t out pursuing her own projects, Laurel loves mentoring and coaching others in the outdoors. No matter where you are at in your athletic journey, she is excited to help you every step of the way.
